How will I be paid?

You will receive pay weekly on Fridays following the previous work week (Our work week runs from Monday through Sunday).

You will receive a physical pay check or a direct deposit depending on the client’s requests. Checks may be held at the placement offices or delivered to the jobsite depending on the client company’s requests.

What's Coming Out of My Check?

W-2 & 1095 info

If you worked for Top Notch Personnel, Inc. in the state of Texas* between the dates of Dec. 26 , 2022 and Dec. 24, 2023, you should receive a W-2 form and form 1095 for the tax year 2023 (to be filed in 2024).

*We do not currently have any locations outside of the state of Texas.

  • W-2s will be printed and ready to pick up in mid to late January at the Top Notch office where you signed up to work. 

  • Any W-2s not picked up by January 31st will be mailed the previous or next business day to the most recent address that we have on file for you.  If you have moved since you signed up with us, you will need to call and update us with your current address.

  • If you do not receive your W-2 form within a couple of weeks from mailout, or forgot to notify us/Postal service of address change: please call to notify our office and check back at the designated time.  It may take up to a month before we receive your form back to our office depending on USPS timeliness. If we have still not received a returned W-2, call us and we can issue a reprint at that time.

  • All 1095 forms will be sent following W-2s and will follow the same guidelines for mailing addresses. 

If you worked for Top Notch during a PREVIOUS year (Prior to December 26, 2022)* and need a W-2 re-printed for any year prior to 2023, you will need to call the office that you worked through and let them know the year, job location, and contact information for them to send your W-2. 

*Please note- If it is beyond a couple of years ago, we may not be able to re-print.  In that case you can use the IRS website form  to request a transcript from the IRS.

Requests for Information

To protect the privacy of our employees, Top Notch has set policies for release of certain information about those employees.

We do not issue reprints for check stubs; however, we can issue a pay history report to employees by request directly from the employee.

Lost checks may be cancelled and reissued if the accounting department is able to verify that the check has not yet cleared the bank. You must inform our placement office as soon as possible, and there may be a waiting period for the reissued check. There is a $35.00 Stop Payment Fee for reprinted checks.

Checks, pay histories, copy of government forms, etc will be given directly to the employee. An employee may designate an alternate person by power of attorney or direct request. The authorized person must submit a photo ID for release of the document.

Top Notch's policy is to cooperate with requests for information from all governmental agencies (such as TANF, SNAP, Medicaid, Child Support, or Unemployment info) in a timely manner.

In order to best serve our employees and protect their privacy, all request forms must include the employee's signature and social security number.
